LivShare and CDA partner on affordable housing projects in Derby and Chelmsford
LivShare is working with the Church Development Agency (CDA) on two affordable housing projects in Derby and Chelmsford.
LivShare is led by Rebecca Stockman and Andy Redfearn, who both previously worked for the YMCA and saw that people leaving supported housing often had no suitable move-on accommodation. This led them to explore shared living, affordable housing, temporary accommodation, and ways of using land for long-term community benefit.
Sheryl Schiltz joins CDA as part-time consultant
The CDA is thrilled to welcome Sheryl Schiltz as a part-time consultant, bringing with her 42 years of experience in the housing and social housing sector.
Sheryl has delivered over 43,000 homes across her career and her background includes long-term collaboration with Homes England, including managing large-scale programmes and piloting the original Investment Management System (IMS).
Welcoming Kelly Hillman to the CDA board
The Church Development Agency (CDA) is delighted to welcome Kelly Hillman as a new member of its Board. Kelly brings extensive experience from across the housing sector, including her current role at Vistry Group, one of the UK’s largest housebuilders.
CDA’s CEO joins follow-up discussion on ‘Decent neighbourhood Standard’ framework
Daniel Mayes, CEO of the Church Development Agency, attended the 'Road to Decent Neighbourhoods' roundtable on Wednesday (18 June), hosted by the Centre for the New Midlands. The discussion was a follow-up to the "Decent Neighbourhood Standard (DNS)" launch led by Dr. Halima Sacranie, alongside Simeon Shtebunaev and Chris Smith. It initiated conversations for everyone involved in housing and community development.

Housing for highest need from the Church of England

The Rt Revd Dr Guli Francis-Dehqani, Bishop of Chelmsford and the Church of England’s Lead Bishop for Housing, visited Birmingham on the 26th November to meet with local communities, civic leaders, and faith groups. During the visit, Bishop Guli announced two significant developments in the Church’s efforts to tackle housing needs.
